Fringes & Floats is a collection of innovative, woven wall coverings for multiple-scale interior applications.
The rich range of surfaces is the outcome of a research project which explores the possibilities of 3D weaving technology. Collaborating with EE Exclusives, a Dutch heritage company founded in 1900 and one of the first Dutch companies to receive the STEP-by-OEKOTEX certificate, the project highlights sustainability as a key socio-economic factor which moves gracefully from green energy to production chains in highly-detailed weaving.
A+N have been experimenting on jacquard machines to stretch the technical possibilities of each product. By applying special techniques, three dimensional surfaces are created that engage and trigger the senses, bringing a much-needed softness into the lives of our daily spaces. For A+N, this process is the ideal combination of craftsmanship and leading-edge technologies, and all the while using yarns that are made from recycled post-consumer PET (New Life yarns).

For a deeper dive into the project, A+N developed an online exhibition of the collection with the widely-acclaimed photo studio Scheltens & Abbenes to bring the physical to the digital realm.
