Glowing Colours

Glowing Colours is a dynamic play of light with colours that change over the course of the day. Points of light that move, attract and interact, forming subtle references to the value ofsocial support and interaction for patients and staff.

In Glowing Colours we apply Soft Fascination from Attention Restoration Theory*, resultingin both the predictability of the changing colours throughout the day and the surprise andnarrative of the points of light.

*Attention Restoration Theory (ART)proposes that effortless attention and softfascination (often found in scenes of nature) can help restore mental energy, which contributes to our ability to focus & concentrate.

Glowing Colours is developed in close collaboration with Elisabeth-Tweesteden Ziekenhuis, Spaces for Wellbeing and Studio Tom (light scientist)
